Battered by bad weather.

Echoing in good times and poverty.
I am in the privacy of corners
Waiting to be called a whore
Feeling slightly undirected

My drink is spent like paper with its cheap skin
like the ashes of my notebooks
that I've rubbed into the foreheads of bums,
their icy fingers caressing bottles of amber-ed righteousness.

intended to only squeeze every bit of want out of them.
